The Project
Just as Ooni revolutionised the pizza oven market, the brand aimed to disrupt the stand mixer category. Their goal was to create an affordable spiral mixer that offered all the features of its professional counterparts, but in a smaller format suitable for the home environment.
My role
My initial brief was to conceptualise the project on paper, creating a visual aid to help pitch it to the board. The core idea was to introduce innovative features that would differentiate our device from existing stand mixers. Key differentiators like lighting around the mixer head and an oversized, round control button were conceptualised at this stage and made it into the final product currently on the market.
Impact
The Halo Pro Spiral mixer was successfully pitched to the board and entered the product pipeline. It is now on the market and has been awarded a Red Dot Design Award, has great reviews on WIRED, T3 and Serious Eat.
